MARBLE HILL FIREPLACES
Est 1980, Marble Hill Fireplaces Ltd is one of the UK’s most established and respected names in architectural fireplace design and installation. Our expertise lies in high-end, design-led fireplace solutions for private clients, architects, developers, interior designers, and hospitality brands across London, Surrey, the Home Counties, and select international markets.
From bespoke marble surrounds to state-of-the-art gas, solid fuel, bioethanol and electric fires, we bring unparalleled knowledge, technical precision, and meticulous attention to detail to every project. Our key supply partners have been carefully curated over the years, forging bonds with the industry’s very best on a global scale. As Gas Safe and HETAS accredited professionals, safety, compliance, and quality are at the core of everything we do.
THE OPPORTUNITY:
If you are a well-rounded, polished and ambitious Sales Consultant who has reached a ceiling in your current role, this is your opportunity to lead an incredible business forward — heading up our newly established Special Projects division from our Twickenham showroom — someone with a genuine passion for design, materials, and craftsmanship, and the commercial drive to match.
This is a consultative, design-led sales role where you will work with homeowners, architects, interior designers, and trade specifiers — guiding each through the process with the same level of expertise and care. You will work with natural stone, premium fire appliances, and architectural fireplace installations, whether you are helping a client create the centrepiece of their living room or supporting a designer to deliver their vision on a high-end residential project.
Your focus is on winning the work — from first consultation through to agreed design and confirmed order. Once the project moves into delivery, you will hand over to our projects team, but you remain the customer’s point of trust throughout. The best salespeople don’t disappear after the signature. They stay visible, stay connected, and build the kind of relationships that generate referrals and repeat business for years to come.
If you have a background in luxury interiors, premium kitchens, high-end bathrooms, bespoke joinery, or natural stone, and you know what it means to sell on quality rather than price, this could be the role for you. As a newly established division, you also have the exciting and unique opportunity to stamp your mark on this next chapter for Marble Hill Fireplaces and be integral in bringing new innovation, ideas and energy to an ever-evolving market.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Delivering an exceptional, personalised showroom experience for every client, from initial consultation through to completed project
- Guiding customers through material selection, design development, drawing approval, and technically suitable product choices with confidence and genuine expertise
- Managing the complete sales cycle end-to-end, including quotations, approvals, and client communications throughout the project lifecycle
- Conducting site surveys to assess requirements and provide accurate, well-considered quotations and scope of works
- Taking initiative — identifying opportunities, following up leads, and generating new business, not just responding to enquiries that come to you
- Working as part of a small, close-knit team where your contribution is visible, valued, and directly connected to the success of the business
- Owning and driving a personal sales pipeline — you are accountable for your numbers, your follow-up, and your results
- Representing the Marble Hill brand to the highest standard at every touchpoint — in the showroom, on site, and at industry events
Who You Are
- Genuinely self-driven — you don’t wait to be told what to do. You see the opportunity, you pick up the phone, you make it happen
- A proven track record in consultative sales within a luxury or premium interiors environment — kitchens, bathrooms, stone, joinery, or similar
- The ability to build genuine trust and long-term relationships with discerning customers
- Strong commercial acumen with experience delivering against targets
- Excellent communication and presentation skills — confident and credible with designers, architects, and high-net-worth private clients
- An eye for design and an appreciation for quality materials and craftsmanship
- Thrives in a small, ambitious business where you are trusted with real responsibility from day one — not a cog in a corporate machine
- Experience with project management software and CRM systems
Desirable But Not Essential:
- Fireplace industry experience
- Knowledge of building regulations relating to fireplaces and chimneys (Part J, HETAS, Gas Safe)
- Existing relationships with interior designers, architects, or developers in the London market
- Experience with natural stone and architectural fireplace pieces
What We Offer:
- Competitive base salary with performance-related commission
- Full training on our product range, technical requirements, and company systems
- Access to carpool for site visits and client meetings
- Annual leave (20 days plus bank holidays, Christmas shutdown, long service increase)
- Company pension after 3 months
- Long service life assurance
- The opportunity to work with exceptional materials and craftsmanship in a showroom environment
- A key role within an established company undergoing significant growth and operational transformation
LOCATION: London, Twickenham
HOURS: Monday – Friday 08:00 – 17:00, with occasional Saturday working
