A leading UK retirement specialist is entering an exciting new phase of growth, expanding its offering into the individual annuity market. As part of this strategic initiative, we are seeking a Proposition Development Manager to help design, develop, and deliver compelling retirement income solutions for customers approaching and entering retirement.

This is a unique opportunity to join a highly successful and financially strong organisation at the outset of a significant market expansion. You’ll play a key role in building customer propositions from the ground up, working across product development, customer insight, distribution, operations, risk, and regulatory teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and enhancement of retirement income propositions, with a particular focus on individual annuities.
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and emerging customer needs.
  • Translate customer, adviser, and business insights into commercially viable propositions.
  • Work closely with distribution teams to support proposition launch and adoption.
  • Ensure all propositions meet regulatory requirements and deliver good customer outcomes.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders across the business to drive proposition strategy and execution.
  • Support the end-to-end proposition lifecycle from concept through to launch and ongoing management.

About You

  • Experience in proposition development, product management, or proposition strategy within financial services.
  • Strong understanding of the UK retirement market, pensions, annuities, or decumulation products.
  • Commercially minded with excellent analytical and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience navigating FCA regulatory requirements and Consumer Duty considerations.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and influence senior stakeholders.
