About GetOut
GetOut is a new events discovery platform launching in West London. We’re building the simplest way to find out what’s happening near you — one calendar, every event. Comedy nights, live music, theatre, fitness classes, food and drink, arts and culture — and yes, the weird and wonderful too, like bike polo clubs, chocolate making classes and drag bingo. We’re early stage, backed by real traction, and looking for someone to grow with us.
The opportunity
This isn’t a coffee-making internship. You’ll be working directly with the founder on real marketing — content creation, social strategy, community building, and brand development from the ground up. Everything you make goes live to a real audience immediately.
If you’re looking to build a portfolio that actually shows something, this is it.
What you’ll be doing
- Creating and posting content across Instagram and TikTok
- Filming and editing short-form video (Reels, TikToks)
- Writing captions and copy in GetOut’s voice
- Helping plan and execute the weekly content calendar
- Getting out in West London to attend and film events
- Supporting host outreach and community growth
What we’re looking for
- Based in London, ideally West London
- Genuinely interested in what’s happening in the city
- Comfortable on camera or behind one
- Some experience with Instagram, TikTok, or content creation
- Self-starter — this is an early stage startup, not a corporate structure
No formal qualifications required. If you have a portfolio, a good Instagram, or just a strong point of view on what makes content work, we want to hear from you.
