Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Consultant in Renal Medicine.

Main Duties
- Full‑time consultant post in Nephrology, working with a team of three nephrologists across all three hospital sites within the Trust.
- On a 1 in 4 rota, responsible for weekly clinics and for managing a cohort of haemodialysis patients.
- Opportunity to develop regional specialist clinics at all three sites.
- Contribute to procedure supervision, training of resident doctors, and participation in the rota with other consultant nephrologists to cover inpatient and on‑call commitments.
- Engage in education of trainees, quality improvement, research activities, and clinical governance.
- Rotation through inpatient renal and general medicine services.
- Delivery of secondary care kidney disease management, including dialysis care (peritoneal dialysis care in particular) and outpatient clinics.

Person Specification
Qualifications
- MBBS or Equivalent.
- Entry on the GMC Specialist Register; eligible for entry on the Register or within six months of receipt of Certificate of Completion of training (CCT) at time of interview.
- Evidence of completion of specialist training or equivalent.
Experience
- Experience of supervising undergraduates, resident doctors and other staff, and ability to teach clinical skills.
- Comprehensive experience in nephrology, including dialysis care.

Salary
£113,565 to £150,569 a year (Pro Rata for Part Time)
