Join a well-established Gloucestershire law firm with offices in Stroud and Gloucester in a senior leadership opportunity within a thriving Company Commercial department, offering the chance to shape strategy, develop a high-performing team, and play a central role in the firm’s continued growth.
The role:
This is a key role where you will take ownership of the Company Commercial department.
- Set and deliver the strategic vision for the department
- Lead, mentor and develop a team
- Manage a high-quality caseload including M&A, shareholder agreements, commercial contracts, restructures, joint ventures and governance matters
- Act as a trusted advisor to SMEs, owner-managed businesses and high-value commercial clients
- Drive business development activity
- Play a central role in firm-wide strategy
What experience is required:
- Qualified Solicitor circa 8+ years PQE in company commercial or corporate law
- Proven experience managing complex transactional and advisory matters
- Strong track record in business development and generating new client work
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior lawyers or legal teams
- Commercially astute with strong strategic and operational thinking skills
- Ambition to take on a senior leadership role and make a significant impact at firm level
