CNC Laser Operative

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Laser Cutting Operative to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in fabrication, assembly, and tooling. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient production of high-quality products while adhering to safety standards and operational guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Operate Bystronic Laser Cutting Machines that fabricate components using various materials, ensuring precision and quality.
• Operate tooling equipment safely and effectively to achieve production targets.
• Conduct basic mathematical calculations to ensure accurate measurements and dimensions.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and address any production challenges.

Qualifications

• Proven mechanical knowledge with hands‑on experience in fabrication and assembly processes.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, welding equipment, and grinding machines.
• Familiarity with sheet metal work is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow technical drawings and specifications.
• Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and a proactive approach to tasks.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Split Shift Patterns

Working Nights (Sun – Thurs)

Pay

Pay £18.50 per hour.

Overtime £27.50 per hour.
