Pay rate: £12.71 per hour / £26,436.80 annually (Based on 40 hours per week)Working Hours: Up to 40 hours per weekService: Jameson’s Supported Living – Foots Farm Lane

We are currently recruiting support workers to join our brand new service! Foots Farm Lane is due to open in June 2026 & is based in Clacton On Sea. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the journey! Jameson’s Supported Living (part of National Care Group) supports individuals (18+) with complex and enduring mental health needs in & around Colchester. Foots Farm Lane is based in Clacton‑On‑Sea & includes two bungalows & provides spacious shared supported living accommodation for up to 5 people. We are currently looking for females to join our team due to the people we will be supporting at this time.

The role of a National Care Group Support Worker

You will work with young adults who have complex needs. You will build positive relationships with people by listening, discussing, and then planning goals and ambitions together. You will help plan their daily tasks and assist with practical activities such as cooking, cleaning, and running errands. You will assist with personal care, which may include support with eating and administering medication. You will help plan and participate in any exciting days out they wish to enjoy. You will make a positive impact on someone’s life by supporting them to become more independent wherever possible.

Responsibilities

  • Build positive relationships with people by listening, discussing, and planning goals and ambitions together.
  • Help plan daily tasks and assist with practical activities such as cooking, cleaning, and running errands.
  • Assist with personal care, including support with eating and administering medication.

  • A caring attitude, with a passion for supporting others and a motivation to see them achieve goals.
  • A team player, able to work effectively with other colleagues.
  • Resilience to keep going at difficult times and the confidence to ask for support if needed.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
