Your Role

As the Chief AI System Software & Hardware Co-design Architect at Huawei, you will be at the helm of pioneering Huawei’s AI system into a new era. Your role involves:

• Shaping the future of AI: drive the technical edge of Huawei’s AI processors, delving into core NPU chip technologies, setting direction for innovations.
• Strategizing for Global Impact: craft and steer comprehensive evolution strategies and roadmaps, charting Huawei’s dominance in the AI system domain.
• Integrate cutting‑edge technologies: spearhead integration across AI sub‑domains (memory hierarchy, interconnect topology, application algorithms, frameworks, runtime environments, modelling, simulation, SDK, compilers), synthesizing them from a system‑centric view.
• Lead in AI evolution: stay ahead of AI industry trends, understand and predict future AI applications and algorithms, develop key technical architectures for foundational AI software and hardware.
• Guide and inspire technical teams: orchestrate lifecycle management of complex technical projects, identify and leverage global resources to enhance outcomes.

We Seek

• Visionary leaders with rich experience in optimizing AI chip architectures and systems, strategic thinkers familiar with AI industry applications, with capabilities from applications to basic software to chips.
• Experts with comprehensive knowledge of AI industry applications, adept at navigating evolving mainstream AI models and algorithm trends, skilled in discerning nuanced requirements for the chip layer.
• Mastery in technical problem‑solving, especially in NLP and large‑scale AI models, able to pinpoint and resolve bottlenecks.
• Pioneers in strategic development and innovation, guiding planning and architecture for cutting‑edge chip technologies and foundational system software, leading R&D teams successfully.
• Experience in enhancing software usability.
• Proficiency across AI sub‑fields (application algorithms, frameworks, runtimes, modelling, simulation, compilers).
• Track record of transforming academic research into commercial successes.
