Overview
NET-A-PORTER is seeking a Head of Site Analytics & Optimisation to join the NET-A-PORTER.COM and MR PORTER.COM teams. The role is pivotal in shaping the behavioural intelligence layer for our sites and apps, from data quality and transformation to experimentation, automation and AI-driven customer experiences. The position reports to the Site Trading Director and will work in partnership with Trading, Brand and Customer teams.
Location: Westfield office in Shepherd’s Bush. Department size: 5. Direct reports: 4.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of analysts, delivering deep-dive analysis and predictive models to understand customer behaviour across NET-A-PORTER and MR PORTER.
- Drive improvements to tagging architecture, tracking strategy, and data quality standards, while centralising fragmented site data into scalable BI solutions through Databricks in partnership with the Head of MarTech.
- Translate weekly trading performance into actionable priorities, identifying immediate opportunities, monitoring requirements, and areas for deeper investigation.
- Deliver monthly insight reporting for senior stakeholders, highlighting behavioural trends, experiment outcomes, and resolving conflicting customer narratives through data-driven recommendations.
- Partner with Customer, Brand, Trading, and Analytics teams to define campaign success metrics, understand product engagement and purchase intent, and connect site behaviour to broader customer lifecycle value.
- Support Site and Customer leadership with roadmap prioritisation through commercial impact analysis, behavioural insights, and continuous interpretation of live performance.
- Lead AI-driven innovation (Google Vertex) across search, recommendations, and site experience, while overseeing end-to-end site and app experimentation governance, including A/B testing, hypothesis development, segmentation strategy, performance measurement, and statistical validity.
Qualifications
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to connect customer behaviour, site performance, and business outcomes to drive decision-making.
- Deep understanding of behavioural analytics, e-commerce optimisation, and experimentation, including test design, audience segmentation, and performance measurement.
- Highly analytical, with the ability to translate complex data and insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Naturally curious and solutions-oriented, with a passion for problem-solving and simplifying complex processes.
- Confident communicator and storyteller, capable of influencing stakeholders and driving alignment across teams.
- Proven experience leading, developing, and motivating high-performing analytics teams within fast-paced, commercially driven environments.
- Strong knowledge of analytics and customer insight platforms, including GA4, Contentsquare, Databricks, Snowplow, BigQuery, and similar tools, with the agility to balance strategic thinking and day-to-day trading priorities.
