Commercial Officer

What you’ll be doing
- Working closely with the internal teams
- Managing processes for Veolia Commercial sub‑contracted services
- Undertaking proactive customer terminations and suspension requests
- Taking ownership of customer survey responses, reviewing these regularly
- Proactively contacting Camden customers when services fail, e.g. bad deliveries or collections
- Working with the Comms team to deliver new assets and mail outs
- Working with the Commercial Portfolio manager and Project Manager to develop additional proactive processes
- Completing contract processing for the Sales Officers including liaising with Customer Services and Credit Admin teams to ensure there are no delays to contract set ups
- Taking ownership of all contract changes that are no‑value or revenue decreases
- Managing our pre‑pay customer list
- Converting pre‑pay customers that have regular order patterns to be on a scheduled contract
- Supporting the Senior Sales Officer and Internal Account Executive with site visits and risk assessments
- Undertaking cold calling for potential customers that are hard to reach from field salesProviding assistance to the Senior Sales Officer at events
What we are looking for
Essential
- Relationship management
- Experience of working in a commercial waste environment
- Able to lead by example
- Experience of dealing with customers directly
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Proactive approach to dealing with customers
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets
- IT competency
Desirable
- Waste industry knowledge and processes
- Customer Service experience
