Smart Buildings Manager

Clear. are looking for a Smart Buildings Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of intelligent building projects, from early design through to commissioning, integration and ongoing operational performance. This role is perfect for someone with a strong technical foundation in BMS, EMS, IoT integration and smart building systems, who thrives on collaboration and innovation.

Working pattern: Hybrid Working
- Lead Smart Building projects end-to-end: design, vendor management, delivery, commissioning and maintenance.
- Act as the technical authority, guiding teams, clients, and partners to ensure successful outcomes.
- Oversee partner and subcontractor performance, ensuring compliance, risk management and high standards of safety.
- Support new business with technical proposals, bills of materials and tender responses.
- Champion innovation and efficiency in project delivery, helping clients achieve sustainability and digital transformation goals.
- Build lasting client relationships while delivering projects on time, on budget and to the highest standard.
Experience Required
- Proven experience in Smart Building integration or with a Master Systems Integrator.
- Strong knowledge of building data communications, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and data migration.
- Expertise in BMS/EMS design, installation, and optimisation across multiple platforms.
- Experience integrating OT systems such as lighting controls, AV, electronic security, and IoT sensors.
- Familiarity with industry standards and data ontologies (BRICK Schema, Project Haystack, ISO 19650, etc.).
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to oversee multi-disciplinary teams and complex projects.
- Awareness of Smart Building performance standards (WELL, NABERS, SmartScore, WiredScore).
