Automotive Branch Manager

Location: Cardiff CF3 2GA

Contract: Full time, Permanent

Hours of work: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday

Overview

The Automotive Branch Manager leads and mentors a small team, coordinates daily operations, and drives success while ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. The role owns revenue delivery, P&L performance, workshop utilisation, diary control, and dealer development to maintain efficient, profitable, customer‑focused operations.

Responsibilities

  • Operate day‑to‑day branch activities ensuring smooth, efficient operations
  • Ensure all processes support safe, compliant, high‑quality vehicle adaptation installations
  • Work closely with Workshop Manager to maximize resources, engineers, and facility utilisation
  • Maintain high standards of customer service across all touchpoints
  • Full ownership of branch P&L, including revenue, cost control, and profitability
  • Drive branch revenue to meet or exceed budgets and targets
  • Ensure maximum workshop utilisation through effective diary planning and job scheduling
  • Develop and grow car dealer relationships within branch territory, including regular dealer partner visits
  • Provide clear leadership and direction to branch teams
  • Collaborate with Workshop Manager to align operational delivery with commercial goals
  • Set clear expectations, hold people accountable, and support performance improvement
