Certain Advantage is hiring for a Test Manager based in the Portsmouth area. This role is on a contract basis and is hybrid-based.

Company

We’re working with a manufacturing business that operates in the aerospace sector. They design, manufacture and deliver industry-leading commercial aircraft, and a separate Space and Defence division.

Role

This role is for a Test Manager—someone ambitious and ready to make an impact. You’ll be results‑oriented and driven to succeed. You’ll be working in a small, experienced, and collaborative team, and be responsible for:

• Verify and validate deliverables to standards defined in the BMS.
• Manage production of test and verification strategies/plans which minimise risk by confirming the validity of the technical solution as early/cost effectively as possible.
• Advise in the creation/use of the System Reference Model or other test environments.
• Be accountable for a Verification Cross Reference Index of test and verification status.
• Be accountable for the defect management process concerning T&V.
• Ensure the End-to-End testing complies with the project requirement.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level in either a science or engineering-based subject.
• Formal qualification in testing – (Advanced Manager level of ISTQB in Software Testing).
• Formal qualification in project management – (e.g. Prince 2 practitioner).
• Formal training in project planning tools.
• Satellite Communications domain.
