Head of Financial Accounting

The Head of Financial Accounting will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial reporting, compliance, and team management within the Finance department. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who can ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and review of statutory financial statements and reports.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and manage the financial accounting team to deliver timely and accurate outputs.
• Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits and reviews.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes with accurate financial data.
• Provide financial insights and recommandations to senior management.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial systems and processes.

Qualifications

• A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
• Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting and compliance standards.
• Proven leadership abilities to manage and motivate a finance team effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
• Proven ability to deliver under tight deadlines and manage conflicting priorities.
• Resilient, adaptable and comfortable working in a changing environment.
