- Develop relationships with budget holders and senior leaders, ensuring their financial needs are understood and supported.
- Act as the main finance contact for your portfolio, owning service level expectations and ensuring a high quality business partnering service.
- Monitor, analyse, and report on the financial position of departments, providing clear insight to stakeholders.
- Produce accurate forecasts and highlight opportunities, risks, and efficiency improvements.
- Review payroll spending, ensuring alignment to establishment figures and investigating any variances.
- Work closely with budget holders to develop realistic and achievable annual budgets.
- Review expenditure across supplies, services, and operational areas, recommending efficiency opportunities.
- Build strong links with internal support teams (HR, Finance Operations, Admin, IT, Estates, etc.) to support delivery of accurate financial management.
Profile
A successful Finance Business Partner should have:
- Part qualified studier ACA/ CIMA/ACCA/ CIPFA
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Demonstrable stakeholder management abilities.
- First time move from practice would be highly desirable
