Urology Medical Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate nurse who has worked as a Band 6 in the Uro/Oncology CNS service or on an Oncology ward for at least one year.
You must demonstrate an expert level of skill and knowledge of the Uro/Oncology metastatic service.
This role requires an autonomous practitioner able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Coverage across sites – SGH and Queen Mary’s Roehampton – is expected.
Reliability, hard work, flexibility, self‑motivation and excellent communication skills are essential.
Main duties of the job
- The Urology Oncology Metastatic CNS will work effectively as an autonomous practitioner and as a core member of the multidisciplinary team to provide the highest possible standards of care for patients with metastatic urological cancer.
- Run or be trained to run Nurse‑Led clinics, including hormone therapy clinics for metastatic patients.
- Perform electronic holistic needs assessments for the metastatic patients within the Uro/Oncology service.
- Work closely with Medical Oncology and Oncology Consultants.
- Develop the Uro/Oncology metastatic CNS service.
- Provide cover for the Uro/Oncology CNS service as required.
Job responsibilities
Responsible for the care and management of patients with metastatic cancer within the Uro/Oncology service.
Provide patient support and information to metastatic patients and their families/carers.
Complete holistic needs assessments throughout the patient’s metastatic cancer journey.
Run Nurse‑Led clinics as per service requirements.
