Rivan Industries is a synthetic fuel company decarbonising heavy industry. We are making synthetic fuel cheaper than fossil fuels, sustaining life on earth by keeping CO2 locked underground.

There is no boilerplate engineering in this system; only the most innovative, problem‑solving engineers can thrive on this challenge. You will report directly to the Senior Leadership Team.

We operate with minimal process and bureaucracy, only what is essential to ensure our systems are safe, legally compliant, and deployed on time; everything else is up to you.

The role:

Own process engineering of the Rivan system. The role encompasses the full development cycle across any of our modules, be it reactor, electrolyser, or DAC, but can be tailored to the specialist skillset of the applicant. We need you to:

  • Ideate novel architectures and system integrations with the Rivan mindset
  • Bring these to life from concept to deployment
  • Own process safety across our system
  • Own the construction and commissioning of our system

Essential skills:

  • 10+ years professional experience
  • Bachelor’s or Masters in chemical engineering or related field
  • Experience designing, building, commissioning and operating deployed process plants

Specifics:

  • £100k – 120k Salary depending on experience
  • Significant share options as part of the early team
  • In-person work at our HQ in Bermondsey, South London – flexibility considered based on personal circumstances
