Role Overview
Senior Engineer – Kier Design, Leeds. Part of the 750‑strong internal consultancy, Kier Design, supporting delivery of civil & structural infrastructure engineering services covering temporary and permanent works. Remote work available with occasional office travel.
Working Conditions
Location: Leeds – remote working available with occasional office travel. Hours: 40 hours per week with flexibility.

Responsibilities
- Lead permanent and temporary works design for structures, highways, geotechnics and infrastructure as part of an integrated design and construct offering.
- Provide tender and bid support including outline design schemes, feasibility studies and innovative concepts focused on buildability and efficiency.
- Offer design management advice and coordination to support bid‑winning and project delivery, acting as Lead Designer on multidisciplinary projects.
- Conduct technical assessments and reviews of third‑party designs, ensuring compliance with client and Kier requirements.
- Fulfil job‑leader responsibilities including agreeing technical requirements, developing fee proposals, managing project finances and ensuring delivery to programme and budget.
Qualifications
- Incorporated member (IEng) of a relevant professional institution or EngTech, or substantial relevant experience in civil and structural engineering.
- Focused, disciplined and thorough in delivering for clients.
- Full driving licence.
