Senior Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Highways Engineer to join our Highways team in Birmingham / Rushden.

Location and Hours

• Birmingham / Rushden – remote working available, occasional travel to the office.
• 37.5 hours per week; some flexibility offered.
• Not eligible for sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Undertake feasibility, preliminary and detailed design of highway maintenance and improvement schemes using AutoCAD.
• Prepare contract drawings.
• Support and review the work of other team members, fostering their development.
• Collaborate with other design disciplines in Common Data Environments to deliver integrated solutions.
• Prepare fee estimates, design programmes, tender and contract documents.
• Build relationships with clients and stakeholders, attend meetings as required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field with significant postgraduate experience in highways design.
• Chartered (CEng)/Incorporated (IEng) professional or working towards qualification with ICE, CIHT or IHE.
• Experience in highways geometry, pavement design, signs & road markings, drainage, and vehicle restraint systems.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, KeySigns, KeyLines, AutoTrack, and Civils 3D.
