Senior CHP Engineer (Combined Heat & Power)

Basic Salary: £56,000 + Bonus Scheme, Overtime, and Paid Travel.

Monday – Friday | Day Shift

Fully Expensed Company Van.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the day‑to‑day operation and maintenance of gas plants, peaking plants, CHP systems, gas engines, and associated generation assets.
• Lead and support Area Technicians across multiple operational sites.
• Carry out planned preventive maintenance and reactive breakdown response on mechanical and electrical plant equipment.
• Ensure maximum plant availability, electrical production, and operational efficiency.
• Support out‑of‑hours operations and provide emergency call‑out cover when required.
• Oversee maintenance activities, contractor management, and health & safety compliance across sites.
• Ensure compliance with O&M agreements, environmental permits, electrical agreements, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections, manage outstanding jobs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with xlqdzyr commissioning activities and operational handovers of new generation assets.
