Estimator/Business Development Mgr

A growing and ambitious contractor based in North London is seeking an experienced Estimator / Business Development Manager to join their expanding team.

With a current turnover of £8m and strong growth plans in place, this is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in developing the business, securing new contracts, and helping drive the company to the next level.

The business delivers a wide range of services including:

• Demolition
• Groundworks
• Labour Hire
• Temporary Works
• Waste Clearance & Site Services

The Role

Reporting directly to senior management, responsibilities will include:

• Preparing accurate and competitive estimates and tenders
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documents
• Pricing demolition, enabling, and groundworks packages
• Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
• Building and maintaining relationships with contractors, developers, and key clients
• Attending client meetings and site visits
• Negotiating and securing contracts
• Working closely with operations teams to ensure successful project delivery
• Helping grow the company’s client base and turnover

Requirements

• Previous experience in estimating within demolition, groundworks, civils, or enabling works
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
• Proven ability to win work and develop business relationships
• Knowledge of labour supply, waste clearance, or temporary works would be advantageous
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Self‑motivated with a proactive approach
• Full UK driving licence preferred
