About the Opportunity

This is a senior position within our Product team, based in our London HQ and focused on the strategic development of our portfolio of experiences. As Senior Destination Manager, you will lead the development of distinctive experiences that strengthen both our product offering and Golf Traveller’s brand positioning.

The role will be focused on key existing destinations in our portfolio, with a focus on Continental Europe, the Southern Hemisphere and North America, with scope to help develop the portfolio to further global destinations in due course. You will reduce operational dependency on senior leadership by providing clear destination ownership and commercial expertise across our emerging markets. Your role will bridge the gap between creative product development and commercial success, ensuring our programmes remain competitive and operationally deliverable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Portfolio Management: Oversee the strategic management and performance of the specified destination remit, ensuring all programmes align with brand standards, maximise profit margins, and meet long-term commercial objectives.
  • Product Design: Lead the creative design and structural build of complex, high-value, and high-tariff travel experiences, ensuring they deliver unparalleled discovery and flawless execution for our guests.
  • Team Leadership & Management: Directly manage and lead a small team of product specialists, supporting people development, providing senior mentorship, and establishing clear operational workflows.
  • Commercial Leadership: Commercialise supplier relationships to improve access, value, and long-term strategic partnerships.
  • Experience Development: Develop distinctive, luxury-tier experiences that enhance our position as an innovative force.
  • Internal Education: Deliver internal education on product knowledge across Sales, Marketing, and Guest Experience teams.
  • Sales Support: Support Sales with expert destination insight, helping shape compelling itineraries and high-quality proposals.
  • Pricing Strategy: Contribute to pricing strategies to ensure all programmes are commercially sound and competitive.
  • Trade Representation: Represent Golf Traveller as a buyer at key domestic and international trade events.

London Office Based.

Hours of work

40 hours per week plus occasional seasonal overtime.

Reports to

Interim Head of Product.

What You Can Expect

  • A base salary of £46,000 – £60,000, dependent on experience.
  • 25 days paid holiday per annum.

About You

We are seeking a commercially-minded and creative leader with extensive experience in luxury travel procurement, team management, and travel technology platforms.

Attributes and Qualifications

  • Experience: Significant previous travel industry experience, specifically in a luxury procurement or product management role.
  • Team Leadership: Proven experience directly managing a small product team, with the ability to provide mentorship and support individual professional growth.
  • Platform & Tech Literacy: Highly proficient in utilising digital tools; previous experience working with travel operating platforms is highly beneficial, alongside the ability to adapt seamlessly to proprietary technology systems.
  • Golf Expertise: A passion for travel and golf, with a strong understanding of the industry’s unique language.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, comfortable collaborating across international offices.
  • Analytical Mindset: A strong analytical and numerical approach to pricing and supplier negotiations.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel internationally as required for the role.
