Children’s Services Senior Project Manager – Care Leavers

About the role
Lead the GM Care Leavers programme, working closely with local authorities, partner organisations and care‑experienced young people to improve outcomes for care leavers across Greater Manchester, including delivery of the GM Care Leavers Guarantee.
In this role you will lead delivery, coordinate with stakeholders, develop innovative solutions, and drive delivery of the programme.
About you
This role suits someone with a passion for improving outcomes for children and young people, senior‑level experience in project management or service delivery, who works independently and collaboratively and uses initiative to develop innovative solutions to complex challenges.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders at different levels.
- Experience working in a project environment, including the use of programme and project management methodologies and techniques.
- Experience of working across programmes involving multiple stakeholders from different teams, organisations and backgrounds to achieve shared objectives.
- Experience of influencing others and driving delivery.
- A broad understanding of children’s services.
FOR ROLES EXEMPT FROM THE REHABILITATION OF OFFENDERS ACT: This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and will require disclosure of all convictions including those considered spent under the Act. The role holder will be subject to an Enhanced level check by the Disclosure & Barring Service.
The role holder will be subject to a DBS check.
