Job Description

We’re looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our Southern Water team based in Kent, Sussex, Hampshire. The role is based in Kent, Sussex, Hampshire with remote working available and occasional travel to the office. It is a 40‑hour per week position with some flexibility on hours. No certificates of sponsorship are available for this role.

As Senior Project Manager, you will lead the design and build activities from conception through to handover, working collaboratively with clients, stakeholders and site teams to deliver exceptional results. You will make a real impact, build meaningful relationships and grow your career in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects from initial conception through to successful handover, ensuring delivery excellence at every stage.
  • Build and nurture collaborative relationships with clients, suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Manage site teams and ensure the highest health and safety standards are maintained.
  • Oversee all commercial aspects, including P&L responsibility, accurate forecasting and margin enhancement.
  • Coordinate resources, review project plans and monitor progress to ensure smooth delivery.

Qualifications

  • Relevant degree (or equivalent) with experience in regulated utilities, infrastructure or the built environment sector.
  • Strong relationship‑building skills and a proven track record of exceeding client expectations.
  • Excellent NEC3/NEC4 contractual and commercial awareness.
  • Experience in subcontract administration and managing diverse teams effectively.
  • Full driving licence and thorough understanding of current health & safety legislation.
