General Manager – Packaging

We are looking for an experienced professional to take day‑to‑day control of a London‑based SME packaging company. The role requires a driven, results‑oriented individual with a proven track record of driving operational excellence and improving profitability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all activities including sales, commercial, business development, production processes, supply chain, health & safety and quality.
• Guide and direct each department to ensure organisational goals are met.
• Monitor results, compare actual performance to established standards and take appropriate actions to drive continuous improvement.
• Develop and implement strategies that challenge existing processes and foster continual improvement.
• Build a high‑performing team, ensuring flexibility, multitasking and strong attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment.
• Set realistic yet ambitious goals that keep the organisation competitive.
• Ensure profitability by managing output and achieving operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Current or former General Manager role in the packaging sector with sales experience.
• Ambitious sales professional looking to progress to a General Manager position.
• Experience leading teams and driving results in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong management and communication skills.
• Knowledge of supply chain, quality, health & safety and production processes.
