Mechanical Contract Manager – South East (Guildford HQ)

£70,000 + £5K Car Allowance + Package

Mechanical Contract Manager required to join a fast-growing Mechanical Building Services principal contractor delivering complex HVAC and mechanical plant installations across the South East.

The business operates within the refurbishment and end‑user sector, working directly with clients across education, healthcare and commercial environments with no traditional new‑build construction focus.

Projects range from £100K to £4M and typically involve mechanical plant, pipework and system integration works including:

• LTHW & chilled water systems
• Air source heat pumps (ASHP)
• Mechanical plant installations
• Pipe services and system connections
• Integration into existing building systems

This is a delivery‑focused role overseeing full mechanical contract lifecycle from pre‑construction through to completion across a busy and secure order book.

Responsibilities

• Full mechanical contract delivery from start to finish
• Pre‑construction planning and technical input
• Programme development and coordination
• Subcontractor selection and management
• Health & Safety and compliance oversight
• Technical submissions and reporting
• Site and project performance management

Qualifications

• Strong Mechanical Contract Manager or Senior Project Manager background
• Experience within HVAC, pipework and mechanical plant delivery
• Principal contractor or end‑user project experience
• Strong organisational and client‑facing skills
• Ability to manage multiple live projects
• Confident working across refurbishment / existing building environments
