Test & Applications Engineer

Position: Test & Applications Engineer (Poole, Dorset). Salary: £33,000 – £35,000 a year.

Overview

Our client is a specialist engineering company supplying advanced machinery based in the Poole, Dorset area. They are seeking a Test & Applications Engineer to conduct trials on plastic materials in a laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out pressure testing and feasibility studies on plastic materials.
• Analyse test results.
• Communicate closely with customers via email and phone regarding test results and feasibility.
• Visit customers when required alongside the sales engineer, and in time commission machines throughout the UK & Ireland.

Requirements

• Previous experience within a test/laboratory related role.
• Ability to work as part of a team with a flexible approach.
• Experience working with plastics is a distinct advantage.
• Qualifications within mechanical engineering, manufacturing or testing are desirable.
• Willingness to travel when required.
• Based in a commutable distance of Poole.

Remuneration & Working Hours

• Salary: £33,000 – £35,000
• Working hours: Monday to Thursday 08:30 – 17:15, Friday 08:30 – 16:00.
• 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays.
• Bonus paid on company performance.
• Pension.
