Senior Technology Architect / SAP ABAP S/4HANA Architect

Job Description

Partner with key stakeholders to design, develop and implement SAP ABAP solutions for S/4HANA, applying best practices across the software development life cycle.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Interface with stakeholders to elicit requirements and define application architecture.
• Create high‑quality design artifacts and technical feasibility studies.
• Collaborate with onshore and offshore team members to deliver solutions.
• Provide guidance on SAP ABAP development, enhancements and integration.

Essential Skills / Competencies

• Hands‑on experience with S/4HANA ABAP (latest releases).
• Proficiency with Eclipse and ADLC tool.
• Experience developing ABAP S/4HANA components: workflows, AMDP, CDS, BRF+, BOPF.
• Knowledge of REST API, SOAP API, ODATA, SAP AIF, in‑app extensibility, and Adobe forms.
• Ability to create interfaces, reports via RAP, monitor AIF, service provider/consumer, IDOC, DRF, and monitor with SRT_UTIL.
• Extensive ABAP/4 programming: ALV reports, OSS note implementation, Smart Forms, Menu Painter, user exits, BADIs, RFC, dialog programming, data dictionary.
• Expertise in planning, designing, developing, implementing, and testing scripts, custom reports, user enhancements, dialog programming, and custom objects (Z‑tables, match codes).
• Support for customizing Fiori apps.
• Strong knowledge of ABAP runtime analysis tools (SE30, ST05, ST22) for performance tuning and troubleshooting.

Preferred

• Experience in the life science domain.
• Previous work in the pharmaceutical vertical.
• Proficiency in multiple languages (English mandatory).
