T2M Resourcing is helping our client to build a newly established defence and deep tech consultancy where you’ll get that start‑up mentality back without the politics and infighting.

You’ve spent years shipping code at scale. You’re exceptional at it, but somewhere between your fourth performance review cycle and your third re‑organisation you started wondering whether this is what engineering was supposed to feel like.

Role Overview

• Newcastle onsite (relocation considered).
• Due to programme security requirements, this role is open to sole UK nationals only.
• Candidates must be eligible for or already hold SC clearance.
• Tools: C#, Java, Python.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a pod/squad of 6 developers on a range of applications, primarily back‑end development.
• Apply broad experience in platform, deployment and hosting (AWS or Azure), SQL databases and a range of web frameworks.
• Design and develop APIs, choosing the most appropriate tool for the job.
• Work on defence applications from data analytics and intelligence platforms to AI, drones and command‑and‑control systems.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Strong track record of pod or squad leadership, preferably with C#, Java or Python and their associated frameworks.
• High EQ and curiosity, with a passion for solving stakeholder problems.
• Experience in solving complex engineering problems in a high‑security environment.
