Job Description:

Head of Front-End Engineering | React Native, React, Next.js | B2C FinTech Scale-Up

  • London: Hybrid, flexible on-site set-up (salary dependent)

We’re working with a consumer FinTech scale-up in London helping people buy their first home, refinance, and move up the property ladder. Around 200 people strong with a tech team of 20, they’re entering a new phase of growth where the focus is shifting toward building standout consumer experiences alongside the financial infrastructure already in place.

They’re hiring a Head of Front-End Engineering to lead and grow the front end capability across the business. You’ll manage a team of 3 engineers while staying hands‑on, around 75% coding, delivery and technical leadership alongside ownership of front‑end standards, processes and team growth.

The front‑end team works across two core products, each comprising multiple sub‑products. As a result, you and your team will manage a range of applications and services, making this a varied and stimulating role with exposure to diverse challenges and technologies.

This role needs someone who can build stronger engineering practices, improve delivery and establish front end as a real strength within the organisation. You’ll sit alongside engineering, data and security leadership, playing a central role in how products get built.
