MES SME (Manufacturing Execution System Subject Matter Expert)

We are seeking an experienced MES SME to take ownership of a critical Manufacturing Execution System environment within a high‑tech manufacturing operation. This key role focuses on supporting, optimizing and evolving MES capabilities to drive production efficiency, system reliability and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, configure, maintain and optimize the MES environment
• Ensure high system availability and performance across manufacturing operations
• Support integration with ERP, PLC and other enterprise systems
• Lead troubleshooting, enhancements and continuous improvement activities
• Analyze production workflows and implement MES improvements
• Develop SOPs, documentation and best practices
• Deliver user training and ongoing technical support
• Ensure compliance with industry and audit standards
• Lead future MES upgrade or replacement initiatives
• Collaborate with external vendors and technical partners

Experience Required

• Strong experience managing and configuring MES platforms such as PROMIS, Camstar, Ops Centre or similar
• Experience within manufacturing or semiconductor environments
• Knowledge of manufacturing workflows and systems integration
• Scripting and DCL programming experience
• Experience supporting enterprise production systems in a regulated environment
• Knowledge of OpenVMS and PROMIS advantageous
• Familiarity with Red Hat Enterprise Linux desirable

Skills & Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and technical projects effectively
