The role involves responsibilities around the maintenance of engines and ancillary equipment, including engine servicing, repairs and related tasks. A solid mechanical fitter, generator engineer, marine engineer, agricultural or HGV engineer background would suit this position.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain engines and associated equipment
• Diagnose faults on diesel engines and associated electrical systems
• Perform routine maintenance such as engine servicing as per the manufacturer’s maintenance schedules
• Produce accurate reports on dispatched and returned equipment
• Carry out Pre-Delivery Tests & Inspections to a high standard
• Identify and plan work in a methodical manner to meet equipment dispatch targets
• Ensure a proactive health and safety culture is adhered to and maintained

Qualifications

• Ability to drive
• Relevant qualifications in the Mechanical or Electrical field, or time served
