Job Description Summary
The secondary market is a rapidly growing segment used by both limited partners and general partners for portfolio management. The CA Secondaries Team is hiring an Investment Analyst/Associate to support all aspects of the investment process for fund secondary, GP‑led, and direct secondary transactions worldwide.
Role Responsibilities
- Conduct business and industry due diligence on private investment portfolios, build financial models, and support senior deal team members throughout the investment process.
- Play an important role in deal screening and deal flow management.
- Prepare for and participate in meetings with private equity fund executives, portfolio company executives, and other senior investment professionals both internal and external to CA.
- Complete written research and analysis for investment decision making, including concise commentaries and in‑depth due diligence reports for the CA Secondaries Investment Committee.
- Serve as a resource to CA colleagues on all aspects of secondary opportunities and collaborate with senior professionals on client engagement.
- Contribute to projects and analyses outside of transactions to support the knowledge and success of the Secondaries Team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with a record of achievement (any major; preference for finance, accounting, economics, or related field).
- Some relevant investment or transaction experience.
- Strong interest in private equity, including direct and secondary investments.
- Robust analytical and quantitative skills.
- Demonstrated leadership, integrity, and initiative.
- Self‑starter and independent worker.
- Excellent written English communication and business writing skills.
- Ability to engage in conversation with internal and external parties, including senior investment professionals.
- Strong Excel skills, including financial modeling.
- Ability to work independently and on a team under tight deadlines.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally.
- Eligibility to work without restriction in the UK.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range: £45,200 – £54,600. The position is eligible for an annual performance‑based bonus and a comprehensive, competitive benefits package.
