Insurance Pricing Actuary, Savings & Retirement

We are looking to hire an Actuary for our Insurance Pricing team. You will be based in our London office, Tower Bridge House, St Katharine’s Way.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of new business quotations for the S & R line of business.
• Analyse experience data to determine trends in order to derive the technical pricing basis.
• Communicate results and findings to stakeholders across the business.
• Maintain a thorough and up-to-date knowledge of A & R pricing and industry trends.
• Ensure that pricing developments are reflected in the business and provide technical support, risk assessment and pricing expertise to clients and colleagues.
• Support the Client Solutions team in building new business acquisition, maintaining effective client relationships and promoting the Pacific Life Re brand.
• Support internal strategic projects, including improvement of pricing processes and assessment of new rating factors in collaboration with R & D.
• Collaborate closely with the Deal pricing team to deliver the best quote proposition for clients.

Qualifications & Experience

• Strong and relevant technical experience in (re)insurance, consultancy or another statistical pricing role.
• Qualified actuary with relevant post-qualifying experience.
• Good understanding of the insurance market.
• Highly analytical with strong experience analysis background; this could be attained in an alternative market such as General Insurance.
