Ignite Programme

Ignite is a four‑day, in‑person experience designed for Year 12 and 13 students (as of September2026) who want to explore a future in accountancy and business. The programme takes place from Monday17 to Thursday20August2026 at the Leeds office. It is intended to give students a real feel for what life in accounting is like and, for high performers, a fast‑track opportunity into one of Grant Thornton’s sought‑after school‑leaver programmes.

What You’ll Do

• Work alongside our Audit teams on live projects and experience day‑to‑day accounting work.
• Participate in focused development sessions that sharpen professional skills.
• Engage in hands‑on group activities to level up teamwork and problem‑solving.
• Build a professional network by meeting colleagues across the firm.
• Learn how businesses operate and explore the career opportunities that await you.

Who We’re Looking For

• Enthusiastic, curious students eager to learn and with a keen interest in business.
• Students with no prior work experience.
• All applicants must be available for the full duration of the programme and be able to commute to the Leeds office.
