Nursery Manager – Poppies Day Nursery Holmer Green

Salary – £40,000

40 hoursper week

Rated Goodby Ofsted (May 2018), Poppies Holmer Green has been providing high-qualitychildcare for children aged 3 months to 5 years since 2015.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand and ensure that therequirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met throughoutthe nursery.

  • Ensure that company policies andprocedures are embedded, applied, and adhered to by all.

  • Facilitate inspections byregulatory bodies and implement any recommendations.

  • Embed effective key personapproach to enable children to form secure attachments and identifytraining or development needs for staff.

  • Ensure that all children receivestimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources whichare appropriate to their age and stage of development.

  • Promote a culture ofself-evaluation and reflective practice throughout the nursery.

  • Manage any complaints orconcerns raised in a thorough and timely manner and inform seniormanagement.

  • Maintain accurate records andaccounts relating to children and staff on EyMan system and on file.

  • Participate in all activitiesrelated to nursery publications, advertising, public relations, the website, and other marketing activities designed to promote the nursery.

  • Promote positive relations withan approachable manner and time to listen to your team.

Requirements

  • Essential: Full and relevantLevel 3 Childcare qualification

  • Essential: Over 1 yearexperience in Early Years

  • Essential: Strongknowledgeof the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements

  • Essential: Over 1 year ofmanagement experience

  • Desirable: Level 5 qualificationin Childcare and/or Management and Leadership

  • Desirable: Experience ofsuccessfully passing an Ofsted inspection at a Good or Outstanding level
