Senior Dental Officer (Public Dental Service)

Location: Grantown on Spey, Ian Charles Dental Clinic, NHS Highland

Grantown on Spey is a thriving market town located in the heart of the Cairngorm National Park, offering great services, transport links, schooling and access to wonderful scenery and leisure activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide Public Dental and General Dental Services to the population of Badnenoch and Strathspey.
• Provide clinical leadership, development and clinical governance of the Public Dental Service referral service, assisting and participating in the triage of referrals into the PDS for wider dissemination.
• Provide treatment to priority group patients and routine general dental services (clinical experience desirable).

Qualifications

• GDC registration as a dentist and successful listing with the Health Board.
• Clinical experience in treating priority group patients and providing routine general dental services (desirable).
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to handle difficult situations and challenging patient behaviours in a positive manner.
• A driving licence is desirable.
