Staff Nurse – Oncology

Location: The Christie Private Care, Manchester

Employment type: Full time, 37.5 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience, plus 9% shift enhancement

Overview

We’re looking for an established oncology nurse, surgical or medical nurse, or someone looking to move into cancer care to join our Oncology Unit at The Christie Private Care – a private centre in partnership with The Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester. The unit is rated “Outstanding” by the CQC and provides a full range of diagnostic, inpatient, surgical, day‑case and outpatient treatment all on one site.

Responsibilities

As a Staff Nurse you will be responsible for supporting the experienced nursing team to assess, plan, deliver and evaluate high‑standard specialist care. You will ensure patients are cared for in a safe, caring and comfortable environment, meeting their medical, physical and emotional needs and communicating effectively with patients and their families.

Qualifications

  • NMC registered nurse
  • Experience in NHS or private hospital settings
  • Post‑registration experience in an oncology setting desirable
