Overview

Unit Manager role at The Kensington, 40-46 Ladbroke Rd, London W11 3PH. 42 hours per week, 6 hours will be Supernumerary. 8am-8pm shifts, alternative weekends. Salary £20.30-£25.65 per hour, depending on experience. Welcome bonus*

Responsibilities

  • Lead a unit or floor, promoting residents’ independence, choice and dignity while ensuring the team delivers the highest standards of care at all times
  • Assess residents’ wellbeing with the team, ensuring physical, emotional and social needs are met and maintain accurate records
  • Deliver clinical guidance, motivate and mentor the team to ensure safe, smooth and efficient running of the care home
  • Build lasting relationships with residents and their families, and foster a sense of community within the home
  • Develop strong relationships with local partners; liaise with them to raise the care home’s profile locally and beyond

Key Skills / Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin and commitment to the NMC Code of Conduct and ongoing professional development
  • Passion for elderly care and maintaining residents’ independence, choice and dignity
  • Effective communication skills and ability to build honest relationships with residents and families
  • Ability to lead, motivate and mentor a team; capable of delegating and promoting excellent customer service
  • Respectful, compassionate team player who strives to give their personal best
