Nursery Room Lead

Overview

Prospero Teaching are working with a welcoming and supportive nursery in Birkenhead who are looking to recruit an experienced and passionate Nursery Room Leader / Nursery Teacher to join their early years team. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated early years professional who is committed to providing high-quality care and education for young children.

Responsibilities

• Leading the day-to-day running of a nursery room
• Planning and delivering engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework
• Supporting children’s learning, development, and wellbeing
• Carrying out observations and maintaining accurate development records
• Supporting and guiding nursery staff within the room
• Building positive relationships with parents and carers
• Ensuring safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed at all times

Ideal Candidate

• A Level 3 Early Years qualification (CACHE, NVQ or equivalent) or higher
• Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting
• Room leader experience desirable but not essential
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s early development

Eligibility

• Hold the Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional references related to childcare or education
