Hybrid working model (combination of office/home‑based)

Duration: Permanent

Salary: £33,537 to £37,103 pro rata (review pending)

Hours: 36 hours per week (Greater Glasgow and Clyde); 24 hours per week (Ayrshire and Arran). Hours may be negotiated for a suitable candidate.

Overview

The Scottish Huntington’s Association seeks a Health and Social Care professional to join our nationwide network of Huntington’s Disease Specialists. In partnership with local Health and Social Care teams, you will deliver care management, specialist assessment and emotional support to individuals and families across Scotland, while providing advice, training and education to professionals and voluntary agencies involved in all aspects of Huntington’s disease care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care management, specialist assessment and emotional support to individuals and families with Huntington’s disease.
  • Work collaboratively with local Health and Social Care teams, offering advice, training and education to professionals and voluntary agencies.
  • Manage caseloads and time efficiently while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

  • Professional body membership is essential.
  • Background in nursing, allied health, social work or medicine.
  • Excellent listening, communication, interpersonal, time‑keeping and caseload management skills.
  • Knowledge of community‑based practice and driving licence with use of a car.
  • Subject to an enhanced disclosure check.
