JR PAT Testing is growing rapidly across the UK. We are looking for experienced PAT Engineers who are self‑employed and have their own equipment and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct portable appliance testing (PAT) in a range of locations such as hospitals, retail outlets and offices.
• Use calibrated testing instruments to assess safety of appliances.
• Provide clients with test results, reports, certificates and advice on repair or replacement.
• Maintain accurate records in paper or electronic systems.
• Manage transport of equipment and ensure tools are in good working order.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 2377 PAT qualification or equivalent.
• Experience with testing equipment and regulatory requirements.
• Reliable, honest and equipped with a ‘can‑do’ attitude.

Employment Details

• Employment type: Self‑employed (freelance).
• Location: West Sussex and commutable areas; national travel possible.
• Flexible hours; part‑time or full‑time.
• Remuneration is pro‑rate based on number of tests and job dynamics.
