Overview

Omega are supporting a leading facilities management provider in the search for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join their industrial engineering division. This role places you at the forefront of service and maintenance across a portfolio of industrial refrigeration systems, ensuring critical plant and equipment operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the correct servicing and maintenance of refrigeration systems, including heavy commercial and industrial applications such as CO2, DX, and chilled water systems.
• Work closely with the Service Admin team, Service Supervisors, and fellow Senior Service Engineers to ensure all systems meet required client specifications and industry standards.
• Ensure client systems operate at optimum performance levels to support site operational requirements.
• Always maintain safe systems of work while carrying out service, maintenance, and performance checks.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Time-served apprenticeship with NVQ/C&G refrigeration qualification.
• C&G 2079 / CITB refrigerant handling certificate / F Gas Category 1.
• Strong refrigeration, electrical, mechanical and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read technical drawings and apply relevant H&S legislation.
• Good communication and customer-facing skills.
• Self‑motivated, professional and able to work at heights using access equipment.
• Full UK driving licence essential.
