Job Overview

This position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated verification engineer to join the Arm Systems Media IP team. The team develops Image Signal Processors (ISPs), Display Processors, and Video codecs for use within Arm Compute Subsystems across automotive, IoT, and client market segments. The intellectual property covers RTL, reference drivers, tools, and libraries, enabling customers to build innovative products.

Responsibilities

  • Verification ownership of unit‑level or multi‑unit hierarchies, or lead verification of an entire IP (ISP, Display, Video).
  • Architect verification IP and full verification environments.
  • Review and assess proposed design changes from a verification complexity perspective.
  • Analyze simulation data using machine learning and data science techniques to drive efficient bug discovery and debugging.
  • Identify cross‑Media IP process or methodology improvement opportunities and implement changes to enhance hardware verification efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with other Arm engineering teams to produce high‑quality IP that integrates well into complete systems.
  • Mentor and support other team members.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience with constrained‑random verification, owning complex verification environments and creating testbenches.
  • Proficiency in creating reusable, scalable code with deep knowledge of SV‑UVM.
  • Strong scripting skills to develop scripts that support new and existing flows.
  • Solid software engineering skills, including object‑oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Familiarity with the tools and processes for developing testbenches and completing all verification stages.

Nice to Have Skills and Experience

  • Multiprocessing microarchitecture experience, including knowledge of bus protocols such as AMBA APB/AHB/AXI.
  • Past experience in formal verification testbenches.
  • Experience with video codec, ISP, or display projects and advanced image‑processing algorithms (e.g., local tone mapping, noise reduction, motion estimation, transform coding).
  • Experience in functional safety product development for the automotive market (ISO 26262 and/or IEC 61508).
  • Experience with continuous integration flows.

Salary Range

£73,500 – £99,500 per year
