Purchasing Engineer (Medical)

£35,000 – £40,000 + progression, early Friday finish, office-based. Location: Middleton, Manchester.

We are a growing, well-established company specialising in equipment for education, healthcare and scientific research, and we are looking for a Purchasing Engineer to support the procurement team.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase bespoke mechanical components from new and existing suppliers.
• Interpret technical drawings to ensure accurate procurement of parts.
• Monitor stock levels and support inventory control.
• Drive cost savings and work towards KPIs related to supplier performance and budget.

Requirements

• Purchasing Engineer or similar role.
• Mechanical background.
• Able to commute to Middleton.

Working Hours

Monday – Thursday 7 am – 5 pm / Friday 7 am – 2 pm.
