Trainer – Automation Control Systems

£40,000 – £45,000 + Pension, Profit Share, Paid Overtime, On-Site Gym

This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer with strong automation and control systems knowledge to move into a highly rewarding training-focused role. Working with cutting-edge industrial technologies, you ll design and deliver hands‑on training programs that support engineers and technicians across a wide range of automation systems. Ideal for someone who enjoys sharing knowledge, solving technical challenges and working with people, this role offers excellent variety within a collaborative and forward-thinking engineering environment.

Trainer – Automation Control Systems – The Role:

  • Develop and deliver training programs covering PLCs, SCADA, HMIs and industrial automation systems
  • Create training materials including manuals, presentations and practical workshop exercises
  • Deliver classroom and hands‑on technical training sessions
  • Train engineers on industrial communication protocols including Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, Profinet and TCP/IP
  • Assess trainee performance and provide technical coaching and feedback
  • Support troubleshooting and real‑world problem‑solving exercises
  • Work closely with project teams to align training with operational and industry requirements
  • Help maintain training records and evaluate training effectiveness

Trainer Automation Control Systems – What We re Looking For:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics or similar
  • Strong experience with industrial automation systems such as Siemens, Allen‑Bradley or Schneider
  • Good understanding of control systems, instrumentation and industrial networking
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and confidently
  • Hands‑on engineering mindset with strong troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of safety and quality standards beneficial
