Quality Engineer

Overview

Salary Circa £40,000 | Bonus | Profit Share | 1pm Finish Friday | 33 Days Holiday | Enhanced Pension A Quality Engineer opportunity has become available with a growing aerospace manufacturing business supplying precision engineered components to globally recognised customers.

Responsibilities

• Complete FAIRs, ISIRs and associated customer quality documentation to support production and new product introduction activities.
• Lead root cause investigations, 8D activities and corrective actions relating to internal and external non‑conformances.
• Conduct internal and supplier audits whilst supporting customer and third‑party audit activities.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications and purchase orders to ensure customer requirements are fully understood and achieved.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers and internal departments to resolve quality concerns and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Previous experience as a Quality Engineer within an aerospace environment.
• Strong working knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• Experience completing FAIRs, ISIRs and customer quality documentation packs.
• Proven experience leading root cause investigations using 8D, 5Y or similar methodologies.
• Experience conducting internal audits and supporting customer or supplier quality activities.
