Salary: £40,000 – £41,000 per annum + Company Benefits + Training Development

Description: Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer with a strong mechanical background in manufacturing? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced production environment where keeping machinery running efficiently is critical? If so, we want to hear from you. Impact Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Raunds. This role will play a key part in supporting production by ensuring machinery and equipment are maintained to a high standard while minimising downtime and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Rotating Shifts – 06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00 (Early Finish Friday)

36.5 hours per week

Duties

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on production machinery and site equipment
  • Respond quickly to machinery breakdowns to minimise production downtime
  • Support the production team to ensure machines are operating safely and efficiently
  • Assist with engineering improvements and manufacturing efficiency projects
  • Participate in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) activities
  • Carry out regular safety checks including fire alarms, sprinkler systems, and emergency lighting
  • Maintain engineering stock levels and order replacement parts when required
  • Work closely with production team leaders to support the smooth running of production lines
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and ensure work is completed safely
  • Support workplace organisation initiatives such as 5S across engineering and manufacturing areas

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience working as a Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing or production environment
  • Strong mechanical engineering background with experience maintaining production machinery
  • Experience working on high-speed manufacturing equipment such as packaging, paper, or print machinery would be advantageous
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical machine drawings
  • Basic understanding of PLC fault finding would be beneficial but not essential
  • Recognised engineering qualification
  • Basic IT skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Flexible and able to adapt to a fast-paced production environment
  • Reliable with strong timekeeping and attendance
