About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Multi‑Skilled Engineer to join a busy manufacturing site. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll support the delivery of an effective maintenance programme, ensuring production equipment operates efficiently and downtime is minimised.
You’ll play a key role in planned, predictive, and reactive maintenance, while also contributing to continuous improvement projects and supporting site‑wide engineering initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned, predictive, and condition‑based maintenance across all production equipment.
- Provide a rapid and effective response to production breakdowns.
- Support business objectives and achieve site KPIs.
- Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and improve efficiency.
- Assist with engineering projects, installations, and improvement activities.
- Ensure effective use of engineering stores and control of costs.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, housekeeping, and safety.
- Accurately record maintenance activities, downtime, and incidents.
- Support the management of contractors on site.
- Assist in maintaining site services and technical documentation.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Follow all Health & Safety regulations and company procedures.
- Conduct pre‑start safety checks on machinery and work areas.
- Support risk assessments and safe systems of work.
- Promote a strong safety culture, challenging unsafe behaviours where necessary.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, ethical, and energy policies.
- Contribute to a workplace culture focused on safety, sustainability, and wellbeing.
What We’re Looking For
- Apprentice‑trained or relevant engineering qualifications.
- Electrical and mechanical experience (multi‑skilled).
- Strong problem‑solving and fault‑finding skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
