Production Manager

Our client is a growing manufacturing of metal-based products. They are seeking a seasoned Production manager that join their team that has strong people management skills, can lead improvement initiatives and drive output.

The Role

• Plan, organise and structure operational resources to successfully fulfil customer orders
• Stabilise operational teams and resources including picking, packing, assembly, finishing and manufacturing to ensure KPIs are achieved and maintained
• Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance standards focussed to consistently provide exceptional quality products and services
• Ensure that operational activities remain on time and within budget
• Manage, lead, and develop staff
• Implement production systems, processes and disciplines including but not limited to planning, scheduling, and sequencing to ensure best use of resources and on time delivery of Customers’ orders
• Implement industry leading manufacturing practices covering all manufacturing, finishing, assembly, packing and shipping functions.
• Budget and cost control
• Schedule production and assembly activities and the outcomes to comply with QA and OTIF requirements.

The Candidate

• Minimum five years of proven success in a similar production management role
• Is a proven engineer and has worked their way up from the shop floor
• Strong understanding of precision engineering
• Has successfully led improvement projects in job lot production environments with significant demand

The Package

Offering up to £95,000 per annum plus an extremely competitive benefits package.
